An image of a darkened room, illuminated only by a series of CRT TV's organised in a disparate fashion, all activated and showing different images, creating a collage of sorts. There is a sofa placed in front of the installation, for the viewer to experience it.

About Alex

Alex Yagilowich's designs centre on bringing novel interactive spaces to broader audiences by providing tangible and recognisable concepts that can be easily understood. Her current practice focuses on multimodal human-computer interaction (HCI), whereby she combines skills in computer science, behavioural sciences, spatial design and media studies to create interactive installations that combine learning and fun.

As a Pervasive Media Studio Resident and Digital Cultures Research Centre (DCRC) associated artist, Alex is currently investigating Neurodiverse multi-modal HCI through practice-based research. Her interactive installation, Not Just an Excuse combines learning and fun to explore the inner workings of the ADHD brain, as told by fellow ADHDers.
