In this Lunchtime Talk Creative Technologist Coral Manton will talk about this ever-evolving role of being a Creative Technologist. Sharing her own work experiences with early insights from her research into Creative Technologists working across the UK, including their place in the creative industries, and the opportunities and barriers to working in this space. She’ll reflect on what the role looks like in practice - across industry, research, and community settings - as well as the influence of generative AI.
She will share insights from her recent MyWorld and Watershed Fellowship at Knowle West Media Centre, exploring the future of technology in community contexts and how it can be more accessible, inclusive, and locally relevant and the role of the Creative Technologist in this work.
