Experience the visionary sounds of Estonian pioneer of electronic music, Sven Grünberg, the first composer in the Soviet Union to create an album entirely made of electronic music. Due to the Soviet occupation. Grünberg didn’t initially achieve widespread recognition. One of his first hits was the chilling, otherworldly score from the 1979 sci-fi film Dead Mountaineer's Hotel.
This immersive live set by Sven Grünberg and Estonian synthesiser virtuoso Taavi Kerikmäe recreates a selection of Grünberg's cinematic studio masterpieces.; including music from Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel as well as tracks from Grünberg’s cult debut album Hingus (1980-81) and OM (1988), a deeply meditative, ambient continuation of his visionary studio work.
Fusing Buddhist philosophy with sensitive synthesiser arrangements, you can expect a deeply contemplative listening experience.
