Make Your Own Easter Character with Aardman

Easter Family Fun

Event

Please note: This event took place in April 2016

This Easter we're screening Aardman classics The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (Fri 25 - Thu 31 March) and Chicken Run (Fri 1 - Thu 7 April). To celebrate, we've invited Aardman's expert model makers along to help you and your family make your own Aardman characters out of clay!

Adults and children aged 5+ can join us for a workshop on Wed 30 March or Wed 6 April at 10:30, 14:00 or 15:30. Please note that all children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.

These clay-building workshops offer a truly unique experience and the opportunity to learn how to make world famous Aardman characters from the experts themselves. Participants will also get a rare chance to ask questions about Aardman Studios and hear about the animation process involved in the making of their award-winning films.

And the fun doesn't have to stop there - you can take your models home and have a go at animating them using Aardman's easy to use Animate It! software, which they'll show you how to access and use.

  • Come along to the 10:30, 14:00 or 15:30 workshops on Wed 30 March and see The Curse of the Were Rabbit at 12:00 the same day
  • or come along to the 10:30, 14:00 or 15:30 workshops on Wed 6 April and see Chicken Run at 12:00 the same day!

These hour-long workshops provide a creative and hands-on activity most suitable for ages 5+, and of course, adults get to make their own models too.
