Anim18: A Celebration of British Animation

Workshop

Please note: This event took place in Oct 2018

As part of our Anim18 season, we’re inviting families to make their own spooky mini stop motion animations in our drop-in workshop.

You'll be able to design your own character, then create a ten frame stop motion animation, using plasticine and craft materials. This free drop-in activity in our Cafe/Bar takes place on Sat 27 Oct from 10:30 - 12:00 (last entry to the workshop at 11:30). The event is most suited to ages 6-11 and their families, though we encourage people of all ages to come along.

We’ll provide all the materials and equipment you need. This workshop will be facilitated by Bristol-based creatives Rediat Abayneh, animator, filmmaker and digital artist; Tim Lo, anime fan and Rife Magazine alumnus; Fern Dunn, graphic designer and workshop coordinator with a background in film curation; Lorenza Incorpora, a freelance arts educator and arts book curator; and creative producer Roseanna Dias. Talk to them about their work on the day!

This October we’re celebrating all things spooky! Don’t miss Scratch and Sniff Curse of The Were Rabbit which screens over the weekend - Wallace and Gromit’s first feature-length film from Aardman, complete with seriously giant vegetables, ‘Anti-Pesto’, and a mysterious beast on the loose.
