This summer holiday, young people aged 8–14 and their grown-ups are invited to join artist Ant Nasce for Intergalactic Message in a Bottle - a creative tech workshop inspired by our Summer in the Stars season.
What would a message in a bottle look like if it was sent from space? In this playful, hands-on workshop, you’ll work as part of a space crew to design and build your own interstellar message using sound, tech and imagination.
All children must be accompanied by an adult, but adults do not need to book in. The session will last 2.5 hours and include regular breaks.
Workshop participants can also enjoy a 20% discount on tickets to our special screening of Treasure Planet on Sat 30 Aug.
About Ant Nasce
Ant is an audiovisual tinkerer and synth enthusiast. A resident of the Pervasive Media Studio, he’s developing spatial musical instruments that add new dimensions to performance and play. His work invites people to (re)discover the joy of making music and sound together.
In 2018, Ant co-founded We All Play Synth, a Bristol-based open mic night for live electronic music, where artists can experiment, perform and collaborate.
Our family workshops are made possible with our partners in the Pervasive Media Studio, which are the University of Bristol and UWE Bristol.
