Summer in the Stars
Summer at Watershed
Until Sat 30 Aug
Have you ever wanted to travel across stars and galaxies, discovering what untold adventures the vast universe has to offer?
This summer, in partnership with The Little Film Society, we'll be screening a spacey-themed film every Saturday in August, to send your imagination to the moon and back!
Featuring space pirates, robots, the Prince of a far-flung asteroid and a couple of kittens on a magical train across the Milky Way, this season of films promises to transport you across the universe as you join in on a range of intergalactic adventures.
From the universal adventures of the robots in WALL-E and Jim in Treasure Planet to the more unconventional style of Japanese anime with Night on the Galactic Railroad and the nostalgic classic The Little Prince, there’s something for all ages. There’s also a chance to get involved in our screening of some otherworldly movies from the very birth of cinema – in A Trip to the Moon! you're invited to join in on the live musical scoring of Georges Méliès’ early short films.
So in this year of planetary parades and eclipses, join us for a summer in the stars to explore everything far, far above our heads and across the universe.
