In this Lunchtime Talk, Jonny Cotsen will share his artistic journey as a Deaf artist, performer and creative practitioner.
He will talk about where his creative journey began (at Pervasive Media Studio), the experiences that shaped him, and how being Deaf has influenced the way he sees, makes and experiences art. From discovering his own creative voice to working across theatre, performance and Deaf culture, he will reflect on the challenges, opportunities and turning points that have shaped his practice. Jonny will also explore his work today and his passion for creating spaces where Deaf artists and audiences can feel seen, represented and included.
Jonny hopes to share not only his story, but also some of the lessons, ideas and inspirations he's gained along the way.
