Paper Cities: Imagining a climate resilient future

part of Community Climate Days

Workshop

Waterside 2, Watershed

Come design a home fit for the future with our Wild and Generous team! In this workshop designed for anyone aged 18+, we'll be making a model of your home, and together we will learn about how we can adapt these for a changing climate.

We will start by going for a walk around our building and sharing some the challenges we face at Watershed and some ideas we have on making our building more comfortable and sustainable.

We will provide materials and support to make a small model of your home, exploring together how it feels to live there, which rooms catch the sun, which rooms are stuffy or cold. We’ll have some fun testing upgrades – shading, planting, insulation, solar panels, rainwater collection and anything else that would make the home a healthier environment.

You will also have a chance to speak to the Bristol Energy Network on how you can make your current home more efficient.

We will then bring all your homes together to make a neighbourhood and display these for everyone to see and learn from.

Your ticket will include a complimentary glass of beer, wine, cider or a hot or cold soft drink from the Café & Bar.
